Arabian horse names

Many owners and breeders of the Arabian horse wish to give their horses Arabic names. In days gone by Arabian horse names were chosen by their owners for their color, markings, temperament, courage etc. Arabian horse names should NOT use religious words or people’s names, (unless it is the name of the stud where the horse was bred). In the case of a stud name, it should go AFTER the primary name of the horse. Keep in mind that Arabic is a gender specific language, meaning different words are used to denote the male and female forms of words. Also, descriptive words go after the noun, instead of before like we do in English.
