Wild Horses and BurrosAssateague Pony - See Chincoteague Pony
The Brumby Horse is a breed of wild horses in Australia. They originate from once domestic horses that either escaped or were abandoned around 1851.
The Chincoteague Pony originated from feral stock on Assateague Island, which is half in Maryland, USA and half in Virginia, USA, separated by a fence at the border of the two states. The Chincoteague Pony became an official breed of its own in 1994.
The Colonial Spanish Horse is a heritage breed, also commonly called the Spanish Mustang. Though the original Mustang descended from the Colonial Spanish horse, not all feral horses of the Americas today are of Colonial Spanish descent, as there has been considerable crossbreeding in some areas.
